Returns & Refund Policy
This policy applies to consumers buying online from Blackfeather Dancewear Ltd. It does not affect your statutory rights. School and wholesale orders are covered by separate terms.
Changing your mind
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods (or the last item, if your order arrives in separate deliveries). For orders delivered outside the UK, we allow 45 days from receipt.
To cancel: email hello@blackfeatherdancewear.co.uk with your order number. Please email us before posting anything back so we can check your return eligibility and match your parcel to your order.
Please note: Items sent back without authorisation will not be accepted.
Sending items back: please return items within 14 days of receiving your authorisation email. You pay the cost of returning the order, and we recommend using a tracked service and keeping your proof of postage.
Condition: please take good care of your items while they're with you, and return them with their original packaging, labels and accessories. If items have lost value because they've been handled more than needed to check them, we may reduce your refund.
Refunds: we'll refund you to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the items back.
Exchanges: we don't offer direct exchanges. Please return the unwanted item for a refund and place a new order for the replacement.
Items we can't take back if you change your mind
- Bespoke and made-to-order items: costumes and other items made to your specification or personalised for you.
- Hygiene items once opened: underwear, tights, make up and brushes are supplied sealed for hygiene reasons. If the seal has been broken after delivery, we can't accept them back. Unopened items in their sealed packaging can be returned as normal.
- Worn or washed items
Incorrect or Faulty Items
If you receive an incorrect or faulty item, please contact us immediately at hello@blackfeatherdancewear.co.uk with:
1. Photos of the item
2. Your order number
3. The item code
We’ll arrange a replacement and provide return instructions.
International returns
Please mark parcels clearly "Goods being returned to the UK". You're responsible for return postage and any customs charges incurred on the return. For help reclaiming customs fees, contact your local customs authority.
